Evan Reitmeyer
Evan Reitmeyer, President and Founder of MyDeejay.com, has been performing wedding receptions for nine years. It was his passion for weddings that inspired him to make them his company's sole focus, and he derives a great deal of satisfaction from being part of such a meaningful event.
"Weddings are a once-in-a-lifetime event, which is why it's so important that we as a company do business the right way," Evan says. "I like to think that we've raised the bar for DJs in the wedding industry. Our clients deserve to have the highest expectations of us, and we've earned our reputation by exceeding those expectations and delivering on our promises, always."
Evan is involved in numerous industry groups. He is the president and founder of the Washington, DC area chapter of the American Disc Jockey Association (ADJA), as well as a former board member of the Baltimore Area Disc Jockey Association (BADJA). He also is an active member of the Washington DC Couture Wedding Consortium (DCCWC) and several other event organizations.
Evan's wife, Jennifer, who manages customer service for MyDeejay.com, spent five years as an event planner and catering manager for several reception sites, including the former Lord Baltimore Hotel and a private golf and country club. In addition to her full-time administration of MyDeejay.com, she continues to work as an independent corporate event planner. Evan and Jennifer recently welcomed their first child, Colin, into the family.
“I just can’t say enough about Evan! He was very professional,
met with me at any time, anywhere I pleased – important for
those with busy schedules like my husband and I. Evan makes you
feel so comfortable and confident of what he will do at your wedding.
It really was a joy to work with him.
His prices are reasonable but I would have paid double what he charged
me to receive the kind of service and quality of music we got for
our wedding. He knew every genre of music which was very important
to us because my husband and I like house music - not your normal
wedding stuff. He was on point with every moment of the wedding
– orchestrating the timing of the things that needed to happen
throughout the night.
As soon as dinner was over, he got people to dance on the dance
floor and people did not get off til the wedding was over. No lie.
Non stop dancing! I think it’s very important for people to
have fun and that’s what people still remember about my wedding!"
