Real Wedding Wednesday – Sarah and Michael!

Couple: Sarah and Michael

Wedding date: July 3, 2011

DJ: Anthony Simpson

Ever since she was a little girl, Sarah wanted to get married on the 4th of July. So it should come as no surprise that her July 3rd wedding at the beautiful Chesapeake Bay Beach Club truly reflected her patriotic spirit. Each table had blue tablecloths and the centerpieces were white snowball flowers with red roses in between. The place cards were actually little boats, red or blue with white sails on them. Even the groomsmen’s matching sunglasses were emblazoned with American flag logos! And of course they ended the night with a sparkler send off! What a celebration!

Sarah and MichaelSarah and Michael shared their first dance to Keith Urban’s “Making Memories of Us” and tied in Sarah’s Assyrian heritage by having Anthony play an Assyrian line dance called “Sheehawani,” where Sarah led a parade-style dance with family and friends.

Kelley and JoAnna of Amie Decker Beauty did a fantastic job on hair and makeup!

Sarah and MichaelFlower Follies did an amazing job on these patriotic centerpieces!

Patriotic wedding themeVillage Bakery helped the couple put a cute spin on cake-cutting by providing a small cake and dozens of these adorable monogrammed cupcakes. The couple also provided an ice cream sundae bar (yum!).

CupcakesGuests danced the evening away to a variety of music including some oldies like the Temptations and Van Morrison, classic 70s and 80s hits like the Commodores and Michael Jackson and of course Top 40 hits from today like Adele and LMFAO.

Special thanks are due to the incredibly talented Mike Busada of Mike B Photography for providing us with these stunning shots of this adorable couple’s special day!

Sparkler send-offCongratulations to Sarah and Michael!
