DJ Career Opportunities

Are you a professional disc jockey who is interested in joining our roster? MyDeejay offers outstanding career opportunities and top pay, but we also have commensurately high expectations.

MyDeejay seeks experienced candidates who possess expertise in wedding protocol, as nearly 100% of the events we perform are weddings. If you are interested in being considered for a position on our team, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be professional in appearance, elocution and demeanor
• Be friendly, and able to communicate and connect well with people
• Be passionate about a wide variety of music
• Possess technical expertise and the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues with equipment
• Be able to work within a rigidly defined system of company policies and procedures
• Be accountable for the quality of your performances and customer service provided
• Be ambitious, motivated, and take pride in your work
• Be willing to accept criticism and advice, and show a willingness to grow as a performer
• Be committed to making a career of deejaying and being the "best in the business"

In addition, candidates must:

• Enter into a rigorous training program covering every aspect of the business including, but not limited to: client interviews, customer service standards, equipment setup and maintenance, and performance training; as well as shadowing our current roster of DJs on weekend weddings. The duration of training will be based your level of experience, skill, and progress toward the defined goals set forth in the training program, but will be a minimum of six months regardless of experience.
  
  
• Sign a comprehensive exclusivity / non-compete agreement with MyDeejay. If you currently have an agreement with another company that would preclude you from doing so, you must first be released from your current agreement.
  
  
• Sign a legally binding contract with MyDeejay for each event you agree to perform. MyDeejay guarantees the availability of a specific DJ to perform each client's event; therefore, your availability to us must be guaranteed.
  
  
• Travel around the Baltimore/Washington, DC metro area for client interviews, final client meetings, and weekend events at your own expense.
  
  
• Take time every day and evening to communicate with prospective and contracted clients, as well as office staff, via email and telephone.
